Grammy Award winners Aretha Franklin and Mary J. Blige have teamed up for the song “Never Gonna Break My Faith,” which will appear on the soundtrack for the forthcoming movie ‘Bobby.’

“Having seen an advance screening, I found ‘Bobby’ to be a very explosive film,” said Franklin. “Most of it was shot in one location, the old Ambassador Hotel in Los Angeles, where Bobby Kennedy [made] his last speech. There are a number of varied and interesting scenarios going on in the hotel that are written into the film.”

The film follows 22 people who are at the Ambassador Hotel for different purposes but share the common thread of anticipating Senator Robert F. Kennedy’s arrival at the Democratic Primary election night party, which would change their lives forever. This historic night is set against the backdrop of difficult social issues gripping the country at the time, including racism, sexual inequality and class differences.

After an introductory excerpt from a speech by RFK, the BOBBY soundtrack album opens with diva duet, followed by nearly a dozen touchstones from the era, including Stevie Wonder’s “I Was Made To Love Her,” “Come See About Me’ by The Supremes, and “Tracks Of My Tears” by Smokey Robinson & The Miracles.
