Black celebrity news site Eurweb.com is saying that charges for Erykah Badu for exposing her ‘window seat’ could be possible if someone steps up and claims offense. The site says that a Dallas NBC affiliate reported police in Dallas have the option to charge Badu, a Dallas Native, with indecent exposure for scenes in her video for “Window Seat.”

According KXAS, if a witness decides to come forward and complain, Badu can be charged with the misdemeanor – which carries a maximum fine of $4,000 and up to one year in jail.

The video, shot March 17 in Dallas at Dealey Plaza where President John F. Kennedy was assassinated, is a continuous slow-motion shot of Badu parking a car and walking toward the assassination spot while stripping away her clothes.

Bystanders including children are seen in the video as the singer sheds every bit of her clothing before a gunshot sounds and she falls to the ground with the words “groupthink” pouring out of her head.

Badu is continuing to defend her video and recently took to her Twitter to say, “I expected the gossip blog sites to spin it negatively. i expected people to ride with me. I’ve been punished AND rewarded enough times by love and life to dedicate the whole thing to EVOLVING . i am happy.”

She later added, “One cant oppose #groupthink , its a part of human nature , but only recognize his/her position in the thing and redefine his/herself.”
