Rapper DMX, aka Earl Simmons, was released from prison Tuesday (July 19) after serving more than ten months (including pre-trial) for probation violations.
According to allhiphop.com, the rapper was greeted at the gates by a small group of family and friends.
“Our goal is to keep DMX on the right track, and get him back to work,” a friend told the hip-hop website.
A representative also confirmed that DMX is currently in negotiations for television shows, movies and recording contracts, including a possible record deal with Rick Ross’ Maybach Music group.
