After an Oscar nominated performance in Hotel Rwanda and critical acclaim for his role in Crash, actor Don Cheadle is set to transform himself into Miles Davis for the movie biopic about the jazz legend and East St. Louis native.
Cheadle will also serve as the film’s director and has hired the Oscar-nominated screenwriting and producing duo, Chris Wilkinson and Steve Rivele. (‘Ali & Nixon’)
Allegedly it was a music rights issue that blocked the biopic’s development thus far.
