The Four Seasons rooftop filled up with GaBBii fans on Thursday night for
the listening party of her first album “Gift of Gabb.”
GaBBii, also known as Alexis Jones, is a 16-year-old student at Central Visual and Performing Arts High School.
She had some solid community pillars backing her that night, including founder of Kwame Building Group Tony Thompson and Riverview Gardens school counselor and step team leader Marlon Wharton. Wharton is also her talent manager.
The R&B, pop album highlights GaBBii’s strong vocals and uplifting lyrics, which had people grooving on Thursday. GaBBii said her mission is to help people achieve their dreams.
“Through my voice I’ll paint a vivid picture that will inspire, prove, and address the true meanings of one’s success,” GaBBii said.
Aside from a singer, GaBBii is also an actress. She has worked with JPEK
Creative Works (JPEK family), who hired to appear in a number of productions written and directed by Joel P. E. King, such as Meeting at the Elder’s Circle, Through the Eyes, Real life and Issues of Love starring Kendra C. Johnson from Monique’s Phat Girlz and BET’s The Game.
She won the grand prize for the Street Dreamz Living the Dream Contest, hosted by Delta Dental. She was also semi-finalist in the Teen Talent Competition hosted by the Fox Theater.
