The Harris-Stowe State University Concert Chorale, under the direction of Dr. Rosalyn H. England, presents “Sounds of the Season,” a Christmas concert, at 6 p.m. Sunday, December 4 in the Main Auditorium of the Henry Givens Jr. Administration building.
This year, the Christmas performance will feature Denise Thimes, Leslie Johnson, Dello Thedford, The Bosman Twins and Loyce Huston and Company. The show will also include performances by the HSSU Victory Gospel Chorus, with student director, Charity Williams.
Ida G. Woolfolk and Beverly Brennan, theater director at Harris-Stowe, will serve as the masters of ceremonies for “Sounds of the Season,” which is free and open to the public.
From 1-6 p.m. Saturday, Nov. 19, Harris-Stowe State University and Majic 104.9 once again will sponsor “Feed the City.” Families in need will be able to enjoy a free hot meal in a warm and friendly environment.
There will be free donated clothing on hand to choose from and free health care screenings. Those interested in contributing clothing and non-perishable food, can do so anytime before the event, by dropping items off in the Office of Student Activities, room 003 of the Henry Givens Jr. Administration Building, or on Thursday, November 17, 2005, as Tony Scott & The New Breakfast Crew broadcasts live from Harris-Stowe’s campus.
