Special to The American

The stars will shine bright in St. Louis June 3-5 for the Kappa Summer Kick-Off Klassic, where Marvin Sapp, Nephew Tommy, Cherelle and DJ Kut are all scheduled to perform.

The Kappa Klassic is a full week of events starting Wednesday, June 2 and ending Saturday June 5. Highlighting the week’s events will be a Gospel Fest headlined by Marvin Sapp, a Comedy Concert headlined by Nephew Tommy from the Steve Harvey Morning Show, and the Krimson and Kreme Ball headlined by Songstress Cherelle.

DJ Kut from New York’s Power 105 will be the Official DJ for the Kappa Summer Kick-Off Klassic’s After Parties.

Mychal Bridges, chairman of the Kappa Klassic Weekend, said, “We wanted to have something for everybody to enjoy from gospel, and comedy shows to parties and picnics.”

The Klassic is designed to raise money for Kappa Alpha Psi philanthropic endeavors, such as scholarships and social programs like Kappa Guide Right, which serves as a mentoring program for young males.

“All of our national performers have promised St. Louis a weekend to remember,” said Clifford Franklin, regional president of Kappa Alpha Psi. “We plan to party with a purpose to help Kappa Alpha Psi help others. Now who can say no to that?”

Tickets to the events can be purchased directly from Kappa Alpha Psi or online at www.kappaklassic.com. Tickets can be bought individually by event or as a package (All Access Passes) for all events.
