In celebration of “American Hustle, Katt Williams latest comedy DVD release, there will be a special screening of the film at the Pageant tonight at 8 p.m. with doors opening at 7 p.m. Although he will not be in the building, audiences will get a dose of his rare brand of humor through his latest release.
Williams’s big break came in the summer of 1999 when he won Cedric The Entertainer’s Anheuser-Busch “Best Los Angeles Comics” Award. This propelled Katt into the role of ‘Money Mike’ in 2002’s Friday After Next. Best known for the Money Mike character portrayed in the film Friday After Next, Williams has gone on to national acclaim on the stand up scene.
Then in 2002, he landed a role on the police drama “NYPD Blue,” which led to roles on the television shows “The Tracy Morgan Show,” “The Boondocks” and “My Wife and Kids.” His movie credits include “Ganked,” “Treasure n Tha Hood” and “Rebound.” He has also appeared in sitcoms, comedy skits, and videos for the artists Lil’ Kim, E40, Ludacris and Outkast.
