The film pulled in $17 million over the weekend earning the number one spot at the box office for the second week in a row.
Last week The Butler debuted at number one with $25 million.
The film stars Forest Whitaker, Oprah Winfrey, Cuba Gooding, Jr. and David Oyelowo and is a fictionalized account of the life of Eugene Allen – a White House butler who served under eight presidential administrations.
