According to KMOV.com, the case that may determine the future of club Lure has been postponed again. The nightspot will now have to wait until Sept. 13 to see if The city of St. Louis will revoke its liquor license.
Earlier this afternoon (Fri., Sept. 3), the city dropped one of five charges against Lure; a charge stemming from an incident that occurred when Club Lure was closed.
Three police officers testified about two fights near the club. The most recent incident was on February19, 2010. In that incident, shots were fired at officers. No one was injured.
During cross examination, lawyers for Lure asked the officers if they could prove that the crowds or problems specifically came from Lure. One admitted he could not, saying only that the problems were in close proximity to the club.
The judge suspended the case until Sept. 13 when lawyers have to submit a written closing argument. The judge said she will give her ruling 2 days after that.
