Marlon Wayans is headed to NBC. TV Line was the first to report that the network has ordered a new series from the comedian titled “Marlon.”
Wayans has previously appeared on “In Living Color” and the WB Network’s “The Wayans Brothers.”
The show is said to be loosely based on the actor/comedian’s life.
The network describes “Marlon” as “and update to the classic family comedy centering on a loving (but immature) father committed to co-parenting his two kids with his very-together ex-wife. While his misguided fatherly advice, unstoppable larger-than-life personality and unpredictable Internet superstardom might get in the way sometimes, for Marlon family really always does come first — even if he’s the biggest kid of all.”
Alongside Wayans, Essence Atkins, Bresha Webb, and Diallo Riddle will star.
