St. Louis native Shorty Da Prince will join Bow Wow, Miss Mykie and Paigion as co-hosts of the hit BET show “106 & Park.”
Rapper Big Sean sent congratulations to Shorty Da Prince and Paigion (who are top rated radio personalities in Detroit) when the news was officially announced, writing, “Congratz to my Detroit homies! @TheRealPaigion N @ShortyDaPrince on becoming the new hosts @106andpark y’all worked for it.” Singer Miss Mykie is known for her popular sorority single “Imma AKA.”
Last month a confusing tweet from “106 & Park’s” Twitter account momentarily led fans to believe the show might be going off the air, but it was quickly deleted and was replaced with a message that promised it would return with new hosts on October 1st.
Shorty Da Prince (formerly known as Shorty Da Kid) was a child prodigy radio personality working for 100.3 The Beat and Hot 104.1 FM before transferring to Radio One’s Detroit affiliate.
