According to TMZ, R&B singer and Dru Hill front man Sisqo has filed a lawsuit claiming he’s owed royalties from his biggest solo hit “Thong Song.”
He filed lawsuit against a company he says stole more than half a million dollars of his royalties.
According to the suit, TMZ says, Sisqo hired 27 Red Music to collect royalties from various music publishing companies for all works released between 1996 and 2005, the largest moneymaker being “Thong Song.” He says they collected but failed to hand over $600,000 to him.
Sisqo is seeking the unpaid royalties plus $3 million in punitive damages, according to the report.
