Everybody was feeling the vibe and tasting the flavor when the Sugar Water Festival packed out the UMB Bank Pavilion last weekend with a mixed and deliriously happy crowd. Highlights, for sure, were when Latifah strolled the aisles – that big girl can sing, not just rap – and when all the headliners jammed together on a song. It was also bad how Erykah Badu went out. “I’m getting ready to go,” she said, “but before I leave …” And then girlfriend sang “Bad Lady.” They were all, all bad ladies. Come back soon, and give us some more of our sugar water!
