On Wednesday, May 14, Michael Eric Dyson will be in St. Louis discuss and sign his new book, April 4, 1968 – which commemorates the fortieth anniversary of Martin Luther King Jr.’s assassination.
In his latest work Dyson reexamines King’s importance and influence, and the ways in which his death changed America. Michael Eric Dyson, named by Ebony as one of the hundred most influential black Americans, is the author of fourteen books.
He is currently University Professor at Georgetown University, where he teaches Theology, English, and African-American Studies. This event is co-sponsored by Left Bank Books.
