Comedian Yvette Wilson, who had been fighting stage 4 cervical cancer and kidney disease, died Thursday, according to several. She was 48.
Wilson was best known for her role on the UPN shows Moesha and its spinoff, The Parkers.
She was reportedly in need of funds to pay her mounting medical bills to help fight her cancer, but she also in need of a kidney transplant.
Her Moesha co-star, Shar Jackson, acknowledged her death via Twitter.
“I wanna thank all my tweeties for their prayers but god has chosen to take my sister Yvette home.. …,” Jackson tweeted.
