Being crowned one of the popular and coveted Eye Candy Models is sweet, but wrapping up a win versus each monthly winner of a given year is downright delectable.

“Winning a month just means you beat a bunch girls that also includes some regular ones, but when you beat all the beautiful women that beat all the other girls, that means you’re number one, the best, the hottest out of everyone they picked,” said Ms. December Eye Candy Model Arianna Roberts.

Roberts is set to compete against the rest of the 2008 Eye Candy Models at the Eye Candy Finale set for 10:30 p.m., Friday, Feb. 27 at The Loft, 3221 Olive Blvd. Voters can cast their vote for their favorite candidate up until 5 p.m. Friday by logging onto www.stleyecandy.com.

The winner will be crowned Miss Eye Candy Spokesmodel ’08, winning a $2,500 contract to be satisfied over the duration of her tenure. Spokesmodel duties will include hosting MPAC TV, which electronically airs the monthly Eye Candy parties and gives the model VJ experience.

The Spokesmodel will also rep the group at events, gets first dibs on modeling gigs and serves as the face and voice of community service projects, something that MPAC is adamant about. So, along with being attractive, photogenic, well-spoken, outgoing and personable, the ’08 Eye Candy Spokesmodel must be committed and involved in the community.

“They aren’t just models – they’re role models too,” said Mo Spoon, founder and CEO of MPAC and Eye Candy Models.

“When you’re in position to give back to your community – that’s what you should do,” he said, “And it’s our responsibility to help people that are less fortunate than we are.”

Last year during the Christmas season, MPAC and the Eye Candy Models collected and donated toys for Gateway Homeless Center, a homeless and transitional housing outfit. The popular model organization also donated money to the center and presented a lunch with Santa in which several of the models served lunch as “Santa’s helpers.”

This is the third year for the Eye Candy Model Party and Competition. Former Spokemodels have been B. Skye (who landed a role on the Flavor of Love), Sheena J and Haley.

The spokesmodel will be judged on appearance (hair, makeup, fashion and runway strut) and dialogue.

“The young lady with the best total package will win that night,” Mo Spoon said.

Like all the ladies, Roberts believes she should walk away with the syrupy sweet crown, but fears that her upcoming deployment in Iraq may squander her chance.

“It could, but it shouldn’t because someone could fill in for me while I’m gone,” said Roberts who will be deployed for three months.

B. Skye sat in for Sheena J, and Shanell has been pretty active in Haley’s absence.

MPAC will soon release an Eye Candy Model calendar and publish an annual magazine featuring the models.
