After hearing of the recent, tragic death of Nadia Whitmore this past weekend (in Overland) and the circumstances surrounding her death, I had to say something. My friend and I had been talking about how we (sisters) need to be each other’s keepers while we are out partying. I think it’s time that women make a pact with their girlfriends that says that we won’t leave with anyone we don’t know and that our friends will intervene when and if situations become out of control.
Some of us love to party and kick it and we should enjoy those things but know that we have to have each other’s back. I just wanted to reach out to my sisters and remind them to be careful and conscious.
