Saturday night my calendar was marked and evening dedicated to The Platinum Group for their annual Christmas Networking Party at The Polish Heritage Center. I make my way there every year – mostly for the mix and mingle, but quietly for the glorious catering spread they go all out with every year. This year I was late and I caught the tail end of what Michael’s was serving up, but I will say that I got a hunk of that supple roast beef. That meat was as tender as my scalp back when I used to have to get French braids. I’m still sad I didn’t get to partake in the full spread. I can’t say that I know what the band was going through, but DJ Kut came to the rescue. Some of my favorite people were in the house at the Polish Heritage Center. I’m gonna be in trouble for leaving people out, but I’m going for it anyway. Of course the hosts with the most Jacque and Leata Land, Angela Brown, Kevin Johnson, Dr. Pam Jackson, Arika Parr and her boo Korey Johnson, Anne Jones, Wiley Price, Darlynn Bosley, Chip Price, Jamie Price, Michael Bennett, Tom Bailey and the one and only Angela Winbush.
