Local gospel rapper master Praiz’ said he had the best concert of his career this past weekend at a correctional facility in Farmington. “They were very receptive,” he said, “it was nothing like you would have thought. We have some gospel raps that sound gangsta. Dudes were crying. It was powerful. We held two 3-hour concerts. They have established two praise teams and bands who sang first. JR and I did our sets, my brother Dywanne Harris gave a short sermon and then we all sang ‘Lean On Me’ together with their band and praise team. The sad thing was there were a lot of people in there I knew, from St. Louis and Cape Girardeau. Quite a few men came to us and asked us to pray with them that they may change their ways and live for God while in prison and once they are back home. I was behind bars many times in my life, and they see how I made a change and know that they can do the same.”
