Thursday evening Radio One St. Louis had the city in an uproar when they announced that major changes were coming to their stations…and they meant it! They shook things up so tough that it must have quietly registered on the Richter scale. First they announced that Shorty Da Prince would be back in the evening slot on Hot 104.1 FM (7 p.m. – midnight) along with DJ Cuddy as his partner in crime and mix master. Then they announced that Hot 104.1 FM staple personality Staci Static would be scooting over to Old School 95.5 in the midday slot (10 a.m. – 2 p.m.). Charlie Chan Soprano will join her for the throwback at noon mix. A-Plus will move to Staci’s afternoon drive time on Hot and Boogie D will take over the 10 a.m. slot. I know that change is the only thing that’s constant in the radio game – so I was shocked, but not surprised. I’ve been listening and so far, so good. I will say that I feel like there should be a woman’s touch somewhere within the Hot lineup.
