The last time she came to town with the disgustingly beautiful Tiffany Foxx, Lil Kim was “this” close to getting honorable mention for party of the year props from me the way they shut down the Coliseum! For 2015 … not so much. I don’t know where the disconnect took place, but Lil Kim at the Complex was another matter altogether. I hate to go so hard, but it was a grimy mess. Ninety percent of the folks up in there were clearly about that savage life – including the waitresses and bar staff, which based on their uniforms were on loan from U. City Nites. There were a brave few who came to work in body paint and booty shorts. The majority had the shape to pull it off, but there was more than one “crouching tiger sleeping cleavage” among them. Dear any woman that has nursed two or more babies, body paint will NOT suffice for your work shirt. I’m just saying. And I must give all praises to the busty bar maid in the thong. Does anybody have her contact info, because I want to hire her as my personal self-esteem trainer? But anyway, back to the show. The venue was half-full and folks grew impatient as they held on for the Queen Bee and King Foxx. I was glad for a few minutes of the delay because it gave me a chance to chop it up with MC Keem and Laudie (On The Track) who are both grinding for STL on the hip-hop scene. I also caught DT/Scar LaDon in passing, and she looks like she could be putting in work as somebody’s personal fitness trainer! Girl, what is your secret? Anyway, the main attractions showed up at what felt like 1:22 a.m. Tiffany never looked better. Lil Kim, well … I hate to say it because she’s fresh off of hip-hop maternity leave, but she looked a hot Housewives of Beverly Hills mess in the face – even by Lil Kim standards. We know her mug is a Claymation mess as usual – but there was something extra wonky about it. I have to give her credit where credit is due though; she has bounced that post-baby body back! She seems proud of it too, because she even gave up a twerk or two as she and Tiffany bounced around on stage to her music for about 12 minutes and hit it. I was right behind them out that door too! I headed to the Marquee, which looked like the type of crowd that should have shown up for Kim.
