I went to the sneak preview of Sweetie Pie’s Upper Crust on Saturday afternoon and I was thrilled with the whole get-up from the foyer to that fabulous patio! They pulled out all of the stops from a step show to a full-on song and dance and the only bad thing I can say about the whole experience is that my diet is officially ruined. The invite said refreshments, but since when is macaroni & cheese a refreshment? I am still full. But back to the event. They have a restaurant, a dessert diner and banquet hall all in one and it is “laid out.” STL VIPs of from at least three generations were representing –including Miss Robbie, Janae, Lil Charles and the WHOLE family. The only person among the who’s who not there was Tim – who was hard at work at the Mangrove location. Just so you know Tim, EVERYBODY was asking about you. Oprah said that she was coming back once it opened. Can somebody tell her to grab Stedman and Gayle and get ready for a second scoop of pear cobbler?
