Somebody posed an interesting question and in the spirit of National Buy Yur Boo Somethin’ From the Schnucks or Walgreens Day (that’s Valentine’s Day for the two folks who didn’t go out and do what I originally called it) I thought “what better day than today to put my business in the streets about my personal life?” A homeboy of mine said “Delores Shante, if everybody wasn’t already up on you (he ain’t stupid, he knows what’s up!) who around the Lou has it going on enough for you to make the first move on?” I thought to myself for a long, long time, and nobody jumped out. It used to be some folks who automatically say, “oh so and so fa sho’”. Nowadays everybody’s so overplayed and underpaid, I just can’t say. I take that back. Brandon Davis, the guy who used to work with Claire McKaskill, would definitely get a call if my phone wasn’t already ringin’ off the hook. He’s smart, fine and most importantly down. I saw him in action -at somebody’s party or somethin’ I don’t remember when or where – just makin’ conversation and old boy went from talking about the strengths and weaknesses of the political campaigns, candidates and such to breakin’ down the lyrics in a hip-hop song…which led to a debate about the greatest rappers of all time. That’s what I’m talkin’ about! I don’t know if he’s married or not.
