It’s show time, St. Louis. Our boy Cory Spinks is about to get down with sh*t-talking Zab Judah, and the world will be watching. But we ain’t worried about that n this is the Show-Me State. And I think we’re ready and willing to show the world how we get down. Some of those eyes will be an arm’s reach away. Don’t be surprised if you see the king of conflict, Marion “Suge” Knight ringside. Don King and Suge in the same building?
A girlfriend of mine, Marci Brooks, rolled with her girl who dates Suge to West Beverly Hills to let him check out an STL artist she’s working with named Dug Budda. Marci said Suge popped ol boy’s CD in his truck and the listening session sounded like a concert. This was on the parking lot of Suge’s office, which Marci said is the only black business in the district. Anyway, the music was so loud that people were leaving the office to come on the lot and party. Suge felt the music and said he was coming to the Lou.
Since the fighting is coming up, she thought she’d tell him to come around that time. So don’t be surprised if you see big Suge in Savvis. And don’t be surprised if he’s down-to-earth, nice and hospitable. Marci said he’s all of those things.
Okay, who else is skipping to the Lou? Too many rappers to name. Just to shout out a few celebs: Will Smith, Jay-Z, 50 Cent, Shaq, Beyonce, Ashanti, Jazze Pha, Big Gipp of Goodie Mobb, Fabolous, P Diddy and homeboy Cedric the Entertainer. And, ladies, I know I didn’t hear someone say Denzel. Yes, I did. He’s a big sports fan, and I guess he’s choosing boxing over football. (Remember, ladies, he’s married.)
