After party killing on Ohio tour stop leaves one dead
A sold out concert at the Pageant for Atlanta Rappers T.I. (Clifford Harris) and Yung Joc was postponed today after a shooting last night that left one person dead and three others injured at their concert’s afterparty in Cincinnati, Ohio.
Ticket holders may use their tickets when the concert is rescheduled. Patrons wanting refunds may trade at the point of ticket purchase.
T.I. was not injured and was still being detained this morning pending an investigation. Other members of his entourage, including one woman, were treated and released from an area hospital.
The shooting was triggered after one member of T.I.’s crew reportedly threw money into the crowd for “the ladies,” hitting a group males in the face.
One of males yelled, “We got money too – why you throwing money at us?”
The words escalated and the jawing moved outside where T.I. tried quickly to get his crew packed in a van. Before he could, one member of his entourage had been shot and killed. The suspects followed the van firing additional shots.
“T.I. was telling his boys, ‘Come on let’s go. Let’s go’ And the Cincinnati boys were like, ‘Yeah, let’s go,’” an anonymous witness said.
Police have not released name of the dead person.
T.I. has enjoyed major Billboard success, selling more than a half million copies of his album, T.I. King, in it’s first week. He also earned rave reviews for film ATL, in which in starred.
Yung Joc is signed to T.I.’s indie label Grand Hustle.
