TLC

(CNN) – TLC is headed back to the studio to record one more album with some help from their fans.

The band announced a Kickstarter campaign Monday to crowdfund their fifth and final record, which they hope will be released at the end of this year.

Surviving members Rozonda “Chilli” Thomas and Tionne “T-boz” Watkins say their fans motivated them to make one more album.

They also say Kickstarter funding will allow fans to have more input than they would have with traditional funding.

Kickstarter pledges will be rewarded with a variety of incentives from handwritten song lists, to dance move tutorials, to album listening parties with Thomas and Watkins.

During their heyday, TLC sold 65 million albums world-wide, thanks to songs like Creep, Waterfalls and No Scrubs.

They had nine top-10 hits and won five Grammy awards before the death of Lisa “Left Eye” Lopez in 2002.
