According to Eurweb.com, A rep for Usher said Monday that his wife, Tameka Foster is in stable condition following complications from “routine surgery” in Brazil.
News of Foster’s ailment hit the Internet over the weekend and included rumors that she had died following a plastic surgery procedure.
But a source close to the singer denied reports of the singer’s death. The cosmetic surgery reports, however, have yet to be addressed.
“Her husband Usher is with her at the hospital,” said Usher’s rep, Jeff O’Keefe, adding, “No further details will be released, and the family requests privacy at this difficult time.”
On Saturday, Usher canceled his performance at the Recording Academy and a pre-Grammy gala honoring Clive Davis. The record mogul told partygoers the singer had to bow out due to a “serious injury in the family.”
