This morning (Friday, Nov. 14) THE YOUNG AND THE RESTLESS will be in town to find one talented St. Louis actress who will travel to Hollywood and appear in an episode the long-running daytime drama that has captured audiences for more than three decades.
The screen test, which is open to women between 18 and 35 years old, will be held at the Ritz-Carlton, 100 Carondelet Plaza, St. Louis, MO 63105
First round open call interviews for eligible actresses will be held on Friday, November 14, from 9:00 a.m. until 4:30 p.m. Those wishing to audition should bring a completed copy of the registration form and a signed release and a recent photograph. Callbacks will be held on Saturday, November 15 for participants advancing to the second round of auditions. The finalists will have the special opportunity to perform an on-camera test with actor Bryton McClure.
McClure is an Emmy-winning actor who joined the “Y&R” cast in 2004. In addition to last year’s win of a Daytime Emmy as Outstanding Younger Actor in a Drama Series, he was also nominated for NAACP Image Awards as Outstanding Actor in a Daytime Drama Series in 2005, 2006, 2007, and 2008.
Prior to his role on “Y&R,” Bryton played Richie on the hit series “Family Matters.”
