From all parties involved the decision seems, peaceful, amicable and positive – but as of yesterday (Thurs., Oct. 28), popular Hot 104.1 personality Young Dip is no longer with the station.

“We just decided to go in a different direction,” said Mickey Johnson, programming director for Hot 104.1. “The station wishes him nothing but love and all the best in his future endeavors.”

Dip has been a popular personality on the station since its inception three years ago.

“I’m thankful to them for giving me the opportunity to fulfill my dreams,” Dip said. “It was fun working with the Hot 104.1 staff.”

What’s next? Dip says big things.

“I’m getting ready to tear this party scene up,” Dip said. “I was Young Dip before I hit the airwaves at Hot 104.1 and I’ll continue to be Young Dip.”

Johnson says that DJ Cuddy will be filling in for the slot Dip once called home until further notice.

“I’m just so thankful for the support I’ve received,” Dip said. “I’ve been getting so much love and it’s so inspiring. They are fueling me to reach for the stars – and I’ll continue to rep my city.”
