Brittany Noble-Jones

After nearly three years at KMOV-TV, general assignment reporter Brittany Noble-Jones will be heading to Jackson, MS to assume the role of morning and noon co-anchor for WJTV.

Her ascent to the anchor position for Jackson’s CBS affiliate comes less than a year after Noble-Jones made a name for herself during the Ferguson unrest.

She was one of the first reporters on the scene where Michael Brown Jr. was fatally shot by former Ferguson police officer Darren Wilson. Her interview with Brown’s mother Lesley McSpadden shortly after his death went viral and was one of the clips of footage that helped capture the nation’s attention in the wake of the tragic shooting.

Noble-Jones would continue to present compelling, comprehensive coverage as Ferguson became global story as the community responded to Brown’s death with several months of uninterrupted protests.

Her work in Ferguson would earn Noble-Jones national acclaim– including being named Emerging Journalist of the Year by the National Association of Black Journalists.

Noble-Jones’ duties in Jackson will begin next month.
