More than 4,000 members of the National Association of Black Journalists gathered in Chicago July 31 through August 4 for their 49th annual convention. Members of the NABJ-St. Louis chapter, formerly known as the Greater St. Louis Association of Black Journalists, were on hand to celebrate being named a finalist for NABJ Chapter of the Year, in recognition of the group’s many years of service, including its annual Minority Journalism Workshop for high school students.
