Katie Mae Dunn-Lewis will celebrate her 90th birthday on Sunday, August 14 at the Heart of St. Charles with a host of family and friends. She is a 35-year member of New Bethlehem Missionary Baptist Church and has put her trust in the Lord. She is the mother of 10 children, grandmother of 30, great-grandmother of 66, great-great-grandmother of 30, and great-great-great grandmother of 1.

Khala Frances McDonald has received a four-year, $40,000 scholarship from the NSF Biology Scholars Program, Div. of Biological Sciences. She is a 2011 graduate of Hazelwood Central High and the daughter of Charles & Patsy G. McDonald III of Florissant. Khala will attend the University of MO–Columbia. Her goal is to become an Obstetrician.
