City Academy students were treated to an unusual math and science lesson with an October 24 visit to a construction site at Missouri Baptist Medical Center. The tour was led by engineers from the builder, Clayco. The students had the opportunity to ask questions about how the subjects of math and science apply to the real world. Missouri Baptist is building a new West Pavilion Tower, a six-story, 227,000-square-foot structure that will house operating rooms, other procedure space and 96 private patient rooms. City Academy is a private, independent elementary school located at 4175 N. Kingshighway, in St. Louis.

Hot 104.1 FM and the Loft teamed up once again to present some of the future stars of urban music with their ‘Who’s Next’ series. Rapper B.o.B. was in the building Wednesday night to talk shop about his upcoming album and current hit “Strange Clouds” featuring Lil’ Wayne. Jami was on hand to ensure the rapper had a spot on the popular local Suite STL blog.
