On March 26, more than 400 guests attended the St. Louis American Foundation’s 3rd Annual Salute to Young Leaders Awards Reception at the Chase Park Plaza. Twenty outstanding African-American professionals under age 40 were honored for their professional achievement and service to the community.

First Bank’s Darlene Ward and Alisha Rooks work the cashier’s table during the recent Music Trivia event at Christian Brothers College High School on behalf of the Little Bit Foundation, which raised more than $27,000 and received 2,300 in-kind donations during the annual event. Little Bit is a non-profit organization that fulfills the basic needs of underprivileged local students in their sponsored schools.

Missouri Governor Jay Nixon stops to say hello to Paraquad CEO Aimee Weheier after talking to health officials and community leaders about the benefits of his plan to bring the dollars Missourians send to Washington back to strengthen Medicaid in Missouri, as well as the costs of sending these dollars to other states, in Kirkwood, Missouri on March 26. Nixon’s proposal would bring $5.7 billion to Missouri and provide health coverage to an additional 300,000 Missourians over the next three years, at no cost to the state.

Congratulations to the Team Rameybasketball 2018 team on winning the championship of the prestigous Spring Bling Tournament, which was held in Houston, TX. They finished 6-0 for the tournament with victories over the nationally ranked New Orleans Revolution and the New York Rens. They defeated San Antonio Hardwork for the championship.
