One year ago this week, longtime St. Louis residents and music icons The Isley Brothers were blessed with a star on the St. Louis Walk of Fame in front of the Pageant concert venue. Originally from Cincinnati, Ronald and Ernie Isley have lived in the St. Louis region for more than two decades.

Members of Christ’s Southern Mission Baptist Church stood in Page Boulevard on Friday, April 24 to pay final respects to retired St. Louis Police Col. Gregory Hawkins, who died from COVID-19 on April 9. A memorial processional stopped in front of the church where he was a lifelong member, deacon and treasurer. Because of public health precautions, mourning was restricted to a safe social distance.

AÂ man waited for a Metro bus after doing some shopping while talking on the phone through a protective mask at Page and Union boulevards on April 6, 2020 in the Hamilton Heights neighborhood. Riders must board from the rear of the bus due to the COVID-19 outbreak, and buses are running limited routes. Passengers also should wash their hands after touching surfaces on buses or at bus stops, as the novel coronavirus can survive many hours on some surfaces.
