According to FORBES, Black business ownership declined more than 40% between February and April of 2020, and a House Committee on Small Business report concluded that Black businesses suffered the largest number of closures among any ethnic group in America due to the pandemic.

A coffin containing soil from Missouri, France and Monaco where Josephine Baker made her mark, is carried into the Pantheon, the France’s hallowed tomb of heroes, in Paris on Tuesday, Nov. 30, 2021. Thousands of French citizens along with visitors from around the world came to Paris, lining the streets for the solemn service at the Pantheon, the final resting place for French luminaries. Baker is the first Black woman to receive the country’s highest honor. Her body remained in Monaco at the request of her family. She is buried at the Monaco-Louis II Cemetery.Â
