This week’s photo gallery highlights the Kwanzaa Celebration at SLAM, where the St. Louis Metropolitan Alumnae Chapter of Delta Sigma Theta Sorority, Incorporated partnered with SLAM for the 24th year. The event featured a vibrant Grand Processional, including members of the chapter, their youth from the Delta Educational Development and Rites of Passage Programs, and Spirit of Angela with West African Drum and Dance. Tracie Berry-McGhee also shared insights about the I Define Me Movement. At Atomic By Jamo, performers like Sir Eddie C, KV the Writer, Blvk Spvde, and Aida Ade brought electrifying energy to the stage. Additionally, we take a nostalgic look back with a historical photo of Jimmy Carter holding Hannah Sweets during a 1975 campaign visit to St. Louis.
