This week’s photo gallery highlights soccer and community at the Mathews-Dickey Club, where children, volunteers and organizers gathered for a free skills camp hosted by Boys & Girls Clubs of Greater St. Louis, Soccer Forward and New York Life. We also spotlight Excellence in Education honoree Carmen Meeks ahead of the Oct. 17 Salute to Excellence in Education Scholarship & Awards Gala. Plus, The St. Louis American celebrates recognition for its work, with Dawn Suggs, Alvin A. Reid and Delali Suggs-Akaffu accepting awards from MPA President Bryan Chester.
