Legal Services of Eastern Missouri is seeking an Advocate for its Special Projects Unit to work with persons with HIV/AIDs and serve as a liaison with elder care service providers.
This person will conduct initial intake of clients in the Special Projects Unit, track all cases, refer to appropriate resources, work with the HIV/AIDS community, perform community education and attend meetings of various HIV/AIDS service organizations. The Advocate also will provide community education to elder care service providers and assist the Managing Attorney on grant proposals, grant reporting and other community outreach.
MSW preferred.
Position is funded by a three-year grant and subject to grant renewal.
Salary $28,000-$32,000, depending on experience.
