The Skinker DeBaliviere Community Council (SDCC), a not-for-profit
neighborhood association, is accepting resumes for the position of Executive
Director. In addition to serving as SDCC’s liaison with a variety of public
and private sector organizations and handling a variety of day-to-day
activities, the Executive Director will also carry out the Board’s decisions
in the areas of housing, public safety, public service, social services,
community relations, administration, finance and fundraising/grant writing.
The Executive Director is expected to attend some evening and weekend
meetings and events.
Applicants should have the following qualifications:
· A Bachelor’s degree and related experience, Master’s degree a plus;
· Excellent organizational and written/oral communications skills;
· Interpersonal skills, and the ability to work with diverse groups and
individuals;
· The ability to work independently; and
· Grant writing experience.
Starting salary ranges from $30,000 to $35,000, plus selected benefits,
