Hazelwood Central seniors

On April 12, approximately 109 Hazelwood Central High School seniors participated in their Annual College Day. Seniors committed to universities, colleges, trade schools, or the armed forces following graduation in May. Universities and colleges from all over the country were represented during the event. During the ceremony, studentswalked across the stage in front of their parents, peers, and staff members, and presented their name and what school they will be attending along with their majors. If students received a full-ride scholarship, they also shared that information.

“I am proud of our students for committing to post-secondary academic careers or serving in the U.S. military after graduation,” said Latasha Harvey, guidance counselor at Central High. “Congratulations to the class of 2018, their families, and staff on this wonderful accomplishment. Our primary goal at Hazelwood Central is not only to prepare our students to be college or career ready but to help prepare them for life.”
