I remember when I was in high school and I would count the years until the year 2000.
I would figure out how old I would be then and I remember thinking that I would be “OLD.”
Now it is eight years past that year 2000 mark and I am not considering my age “old” anymore.
This year I decided to design my New Year’s list around being grateful and carrying that feeling into this New Year.
My ‘Top Eight’ list for the year 2008.
8. I am grateful to be living in another New Year, no matter what age I am.
7. I am grateful that my husband has a job in 2008.
6. I am grateful that I have such fantastic readers to share with in 2008.
5. I am thankful that son number one will graduate from high school in 2008.
4. I am grateful that 2008 is an option for my loved ones and me as some were not able to be here.
3. I am grateful that even when I am discouraged, I still have food to eat and energy to help someone else in need.
2. I am grateful that my parents are still alive in 2008.
1. I am so grateful that in 2007 when my boys were in a car accident they survived and now can enjoy 2008.
Instead of a New Year’s resolution list, I wanted to reflect on all of my blessings, if you want you can do the same.
