The 100 Black Men of Metropolitan St. Louis will induct William P. Luster as president of the local chapter on Saturday January 22.

“I have been associated with many organizations over the years, and none comes closer to what lies deeply within my heart and soul: providing youth in our community with every opportunity to be successful,” Luster said.

“It cannot be done alone. As a united team, the 100 has the wisdom, skills, and the tools to make this goal a reality. It is our duty and obligation to help young people achieve their full potential.”

Luster is market development manager at Kimberly-Clark Corporation, Professional Division. He received his undergraduate degree from Rockhurst University and his MBA from California State University. He is the father of Jordan Luster, the son of Willie Luster (deceased) and Juanita Luster of St. Louis County, and a friend and mentor to many.

The 100 Black Men of Metropolitan St. Louis is a non-profit 501C3 chapter founded in 1983. The national organization of 100 Black Men of America, Inc. was founded in New York City in 1963 and began with nine chapters as a national alliance of leading African-American men of business, public affairs and government with a mission to improve the quality of life for African Americans, particularly African-American youth.

Today, under the direction of Albert E. Dotson Jr., the organization has 116 chapters in the United States, England and the Caribbean. The 100 serves as an international coalition focused on creating educational opportunities, promoting economic empowerment, addressing health disparities and creating positive mentoring relationships.
