Community Women Against Hardship (CWAH), Inc. will host its 18th Anniversary Auction/Concert Benefit Sunday, November 19 at the Sheldon Concert Hall.
The auction begins at 4:30 p.m. in the Spiering Room with the concert at 7:30 p.m. featuring international recording artist Oleta Adams.
As CWAH celebrates its 18th anniversary year, having served over 5,000 women and children.
CWAH continues to be encouraged by the impact of its education programs, especially those geared toward our youths. Innovative programs in nutritional and computer education, art through our partnership with the St. Louis Art Museum, as well as a unique concept of teaching mathematics, reading and grammar using hip hop music.
Last year, CWAH was pleased to have over 75 youths in its youth summit programming (all day workshops in health and wellness, drug prevention and non-violence education), as well as 50 in its after-school and summer programs.
