U.S. Rep. Wm. Lacy Clay will present his 2nd Annual, First Congressional District Career Fair, on Monday, June 4 at Harris-Stowe State University’s Emerson Physical Education & Performing Arts Center, located at 3026 Laclede Ave. The event runs from 9 a.m. – 3 p.m. and is free.

Over 90 top employers from throughout the metro St. Louis area will be there, searching for employees who want to work in government, the corporate sector, financial services, retail, gaming, high tech, sales and professional positions. The event is broad-based and targeted to help combat unemployment and underemployment in Missouri’s 1st Congressional District.

An enhanced feature this year is the 1st City Summer Youth Jobs Project, a pilot program that will match at-risk youth with positive job opportunities at local companies.

Last year’s response was overwhelming for a first-time event, with over 1,000 job seekers. So dress for success, bring plenty of resumes, and get there early.

For more information, call Clay’s office at (314) 367-1970.
