The Human Development Corporation of Metropolitan St. Louis will host the 36th annual awards banquet 11:30 a.m. Monday, September 25 at the Hilton at the Park Hotel. Michael Johnson, executive director of the Monsanto YMCA, and Sal Martinez, development chairman of the Monsanto YMCA, are co-chairs of the event.

Honorary co-chairs are Alderman Mike McMillian and State Treasurer Sarah Steelman. Gerald Higginbotham will provide the keynote address.

Gerald Higginbotham is an author, educator, entrepreneur and community activist. He has been an airline pilot for 18 years and holds a certificate from the Joseph School of Business Entrepreneurship and diplomas from Light Bible College and Power Learning Systems in Information Age Development. He obtained a bachelor’s degree in psychology from California State University, Northridge and a Ph.D. in biblical studies and divinity from the Jesus of Nazareth Church Ministries.

Higginbotham’s view of the future is chronicled in his recently released book, An Introduction to Collaboration, Teamwork, and NETWORKING: A Case for Working Together Systematically to Achieve Successful Living. He lives in Florissant, MO with his wife Marcia and two sons, Gerald and Caleb.
