The Mound City Bar Foundation and the Mound City Bar Association will host the annual Scovel Richardson Scholarship Dinner on Saturday, June 26 at the Sheldon Concert Hall, 3648 Washington Blvd.
At the event, Mound City will bestow two awards and award two scholarships. Victoria E. Nelson will receive this year’s Community Service Award, and Judge Jimmie M. Edwards will receive this year’s Legal Service Award. This year’s Scovel Richardson Scholarship recipients are Chalana M. Scales-Ferguson and Jerina Phillips.
The President’s reception will start at 6 p.m., and the dinner and program will start at 7 p.m. The mistress of ceremonies is Vickie Newton.
