The Pagedale Family Support Center recently hosted a Community Build Day project and a Back-to-School Fair. Beyond Housing has received a grant to pay for new surfacing materials and a new basketball goal at the center.
Local kids joined State Farm Insurance volunteers to spend Saturday morning laying new flooring on the court and installing a brand new basketball goal. At the school fair, over 300 school-age children receives backpacks full of school supplies, including paper, pens, magic markers, rulers, crayons, erasers, scissors, notebooks, and more.
The refurbishing of the basketball court was part of Community Build Day which is taking place at locations across the country. A total of 43 member companies of the Financial Services Roundtable have committed to help build/repair homes in 45 cities.
