The Not Alone Foundation, a non-profit organization based in Atlanta, is dedicated to providing financial assistance and educational and medical resources for chronic kidney disease and end-stage renal disease patients and their families. It recently presented its Diamond Award to honor individuals in the entertainment and business worlds, including Jimi Hendrix, whose sister Janie Hendrix accepted the award on behalf of her late brother. Pictured at the event are recording artist and Diamond Award presenter Trina, Janie Hendrix and Claytin Hendrix-Wright, Janie’s son. Janie Hendrix said about her brother, “He left an indelible mark on humanity. I feel it is only fitting that the recognition being given him today be symbolized by the diamond, which is also forever.”
